About the project:
The proposed Belle Plaine Carbon Hub will be a large-scale carbon emissions reduction infrastructure project in Southeast Saskatchewan. The Project involves the development of a new geologic storage hub to store industrial CO2 emissions that would otherwise be emitted to the atmosphere. The CO2 will be transported by approximately 33km of pipeline connecting to a series of injection wells, and there will be an extensive Measurement, Monitoring and Verification (MMV) program in place to verify that CO2 is safely and permanently stored. This project is aligned with the Government of Saskatchewan’s Growth Plan and economic objectives related to Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage (CCUS).
